The Campaign template is where you will identify any main keywords or negative keywords you want Pepper to follow when sending out friend requests as well as the message(s) you would like the new leads to receive. You will also select when a person will receive the message, if you will send a friend request, and a few other sendings you can set for when Pepper is finding leads.
Create a Campaign Template from Your Pepper Google Chrome Extension
1. Click on your Pepper Google Chrome extension.
2. Click on "Find Leads" or "Run Campaign".
3. Click on "Find Leads" or "Run Campaign".
4. Create a name for your Campaign Template so you know what message the person will be receiving as well as the keywords Pepper is following. Only you will see the template name.
5. *Optional: Identify your main keywords. Pepper will send a friend request to profiles with these keywords. To enter in keywords, you can input them one at a time and press “enter” after inputting each keyword or separate them with a comma.
6. *Optional: Identify your negative keywords. Pepper will not send a friend request to profiles with these keywords. Pepper will always consider negative keywords first. To enter in keywords, you can input them one at a time and press “enter” after inputting each keyword or separate them with a comma.
7. Click on "Next" in the lower right hand corner or on "Friend Requests" along the top of the template. You then have the option to turn on the friend requests toggle button.
8. You also have the opportunity to turn on the "High-Income Countries Only" toggle button. Two options will then appear. You can then choose Pepper to only send a friend request to individuals who live in the US. If a person's location is not known or locked, you can click on the second box and Pepper will send the friend request without knowing the location.
9. Click on "Next" in the lower right hand corner or on "Outbound Messages" along the top of the template. You then have the option to turn on the send outbound messages toggle button.
10. Next, you have the opportunity to turn on the "High-Income Countries Only" toggle button. Two options will then appear. You can then choose Pepper to only send a friend request to individuals who live in the US. If a person's location is not known or locked, you can click on the second box and Pepper will send the friend request without knowing the location. You also can turn on the "Friends Only" toggle button which means the individual will only receive a message, if the person accepted the friend request.
11. If you have the Pepper CRM, you can select the tag you want the lead to be assigned to once a message is sent to the individual.
12. Write the Outbound Message an individual will receive once you run the Campaign feature. In your message you can use the short code, {firstname}, or click on "First Name" so the person will receive a personalized message with his/her name. You may add up to 5 message that Pepper will select to send within the campaign. Pepper will shuffle the messages, if you click on the two arrows.
Create a Campaign Template from Your Pepper Dashboard
1. Click on the "Campaigns" tab.
2. Click on the blue button that says "Create Campaign".
3. Follow the same instructions as above.
Important Information about Keywords
Pepper can allow up to “two compound keywords”. This means words such as “real estate”, “roofing construction”, “fitness owner”, and “gym owner” are acceptable keywords.
Pepper looks for the literal keyword. For example, if a keyword is “market” and someone has “marketing” in their profile, Pepper will send a friend request to this person because “market” is within “marketing”.
The keywords do not differentiate nouns, using words like “female, male, United States” will not work with Pepper unless the potential profile has that specific word in their profile description.
